A little about Mary Kate

Mary Kate is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas. She obtained her BA from BYU and completed her graduate studies at UT -Arlington in Texas, where she obtained her Master of Science of Social Work (MSSW).

Mary Kate is creative (undergrad in music/psychology), and brings this to her therapy style, working with clients to get the right fit of therapy for each. She also served 15 years in the US Military (Army), where she was an enlisted soldier, working as a Behavioral Specialist. She deployed for both Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), giving her a “boots on the ground” understanding of certain types of traumas common in the military, including combat and military sexual trauma (sometimes called MST).  Mary Kate also has over 13 years as a civilian working with Veterans and first responders. Mary Kate’s passion is to help individuals heal from the emotional wounds incurred in life so that a fuller, freer life can be pursued.
